After retirement of an individual, relationship with AFRO still continues. The services offered by the Air Force Record office to the retired air warriors is highly commendable. To avail benefits such as scholarships to children the of servicemen, for self and dependent family members, retired air warrior needs to keep AFRO abreast of changes in family size, residence etc. AFRO takes Non Effective (NE) Personnel Occurrence Reports (PORs) for various occurrences such as marriage/divorce, marriage, children birth, change of permanent home address etc, also duplicate discharge book is issued by AFRO in case the original is lost/mutilated.

The following documents need to be submitted to AFRO through respective Zila Sainik Boards for POR. On promulgation of NE POR, an extract of same is forwarded to the individual for pasting it in his discharge book for record.

The documents required for:-

NE POR of Child Birth:

A Personal application

An affidavit from Notary (name of mother of the child should be clearly mentioned in the affidavit)

Date of birth certificate issued from the Registrar or Head of the School/Institution.

Death of Wife:

A personal application

Death certificate issued from the Registrar.

Marriage/Re-marriage and change of Next-of-Kin:

A personal application

Marriage certificate

Affidavit regarding marriage

Joint Photograph in duplicate

NE POR for Divorce:

A personal application

The attested copy of divorce decree from

Court duly attested.

Change of Permanent Home address:

A personal application.

Declaration form (available with Zila Sainik Board)

Along with original discharge certificate through Zina Sainik Board.
