REVISED ORDINARY FAMILY PENSION (PBOR)
AS PER 6TH CPC (ANNEXURE III)
The minimum family pension has been increased from Rs.1275 to Rs.3500 as per the 6th CPC. Even though the amount of family pension payable to a Widow depends upon the rank of the deceased ex-serviceman, but unfortunately there is no difference in the family pensions payable to the widows of Sepoys to Havildars. (Rs.3500).
Normally, the families of the pre-86 and pre-96 family pensioners are not knowing the Rank and Group of their husbands in memory. If one has to find out and help them, they have to call for their discharge book and pension book etc. Therefore even if one wants to help them immediately it becomes difficult.
The rank wise ordinary basic family pension is given below as per Annexure III of MOD letter dated 11.11.2008.
WIDOWS OF SEPOYS ALL GROUPS - Rs.3500
WIDOWS OF NAIKS ALL GROUPS - Rs.3500
WIDOWS OF HAVILDARS ALL GROUPS - Rs .3500
WIDOWS OF NB. SUBEDARS GP.’A’ - Rs.5070
WIDOWS OF NB.SUBEDARS OTHER GROUPS Rs.4650
WIDOWS OF SUBEDARS GROUP ‘A’ - Rs.5190
WIDOWS OF SUBEDARS OTHER GROUPS - Rs.4770
WIDOWS OF SUB. MAJ. ‘A’ GROUP - Rs.5250
WIDOWS OF SUB. MAJ. OTHER GROUPS Rs.4830
