There has been many changes in the Esm. Welfare Schemes.  Every application has to be submitted online only. Kendriya Sainik Board had published all the schemes in their website www.ksb.gov.in

1.      All scholarships from 1^st Std. to Degree courses up to the rank of Havildars and their families are to be applied only through online.

2.      Issue of fresh Ex-servicemen Identity Card to be submitted only online.

3.      Rs .50,000 marriage grant also to be applied through online only.

4.      Even Funeral grant for the families also to be applied through online.

5.      Rs.4000 penury grant also to be applied on line.

6.      Application for grant of Medical treatment also on line.

7.      Application for house repair grant also on line.

8.      Even grant for Orphaned children of Ex-servicemen also on line.

9.      Home loan for Esm. through KSB on line only.

Likewise everything has to be applied on line only.  It is not easy for all.  Now is the time all ex servicemen to educate their children on Internet application.  Otherwise, they have to spend more money on each application.

AND NOW THE ECHS SMART CARD ALSO TO BE APPLIED ON LINE ONLY.

WE REQUEST THE ECHS CENTRAL ORGANIZATION TO REDRAFT/RECONSIDER THE PROCEDURE TO MAKE IT SIMPLE AND EASY FOR THE MEMBERS TO RENEW THE CARD.

For all the online applications, your Original documents are to be scanned and uploaded.

The scanned copy of the following documents from the original is necessary for all the online applications.  It is therefore advisable to purchase a good Pen Drive (Sony Price around Rs.500 )scan  and store the following documents ready always.

1.      Pass port size photo of all your Family members including yourself in jpg, jpeg format.  (A clear photo with good scanning with not more than 1 Mb size.)

2.      Your whole discharge book to be scanned from the Original in PDF format within 1Mb size.

3.      Your Ex-servicemen Identity Card also in PDF within 1 Mb.

4.      Your Bank pension account Pass book front page with joint photos in PDF within 1 Mb.

5.      All the Aadhaar Cards of your Family members including youself to be scanned eparately and stored in PDF format.

6.      Part II order if any to be scanned in PDF within 1 mb.

7.      Death certificate of Esm. in case of Family pensioner.

8.      ECHS Card. And Temporary ECHS slip. In PDF format.

9.      All birth certificates, and School certificates to be scanned from original and kept.

10.  You can keep your Driving License and RC book also.

A proper planning in this area will help you to save time and money and reduce running around time at the last moment.

Alternatively, you can open a Digital Locker and keep all the above documents in your Locker at free of cost.  Also you can access from anywhere and forward self attested copies wherever needed.

All the Ex-servicemen Associations can help their members in this area and give training to their children during their meeting.

APPLICATION FOR NEW ECHS SMART CARD IS A CUMBERSOME PROCEDURE

The recently introduced on line application for ECHS Smart card is a great challenge to many aged card holders and family pensioners.  It will be very difficult to gather all documents for a new ECHS smart card.  On line processing is another area, which involves more expenses for scanning and uploading.

The ECHS Organization should redraft the procedure and permit all the 16KB and 32KB card holders to renew the Cards just by submitting the existing cards.  Most of the family pensioners do not know what is PAN Card.  Asking for a PAN Card from a 80years old ECHS member/family pensioner is nothing but harassing.

It may be noted that all the existing ECHS smart holders including Temporary slip holders have submitted all the documents hard copy before obtaining the Card.  It is very much disturbing to ask for all the documents again for issue of 62KB Smart Card.

Moreover, the cost of each ECHS smart Card Rs.177 is very much on the high side.  The existing card holder having two children and wife will have to spend minimum Rs.1200 for getting a 62KB new ECHS card.  Likewise there are so many difficulties for the members.

We request the ECHS Central organization to reconsider the procedure and make it simple for the members to renew easily.

ISSUE OF NEW ECHS SMART CARD

Instructions for issue of Smart card have been issued.

Please note that the entire system will soon go online except collection of the new card when each individual will have to visit Station Headquarters to surrender the old card and collect new cards.

The cost of one Smart Card is Rs. 177/- (inclusive of all taxes) plus transaction charges extra (as applicable). Separate card will be needed for all members. A member having wife and two children will have to spend around Rs.1000 for getting this card.

​Old 16KB Cards will stop working in the new system with effect from 01 Sep 2018.So please update as soon as the system is operational. Applying for new 64 KB cards for 32 KB Cards holders is optional till the year 2020. However, they can also apply to get the benefits of new Smart Card.

​It would be compulsory to give​

Aadhaar Card number, PAN number, mobile number and e-mail address ​ when applying for new card.  Those who are not having PAN card now, should apply immediately and get one.

The whole system of Smart Card has been made online system from filling of application to payment to verification of applications by Record Offices. The memory of card has been enhanced from 32 to 64 Kbs, accordingly, larger number of transactions, details of medical history including issue of drugs and equipments can now be stored on the card. Any fraudulent cases detected or reported will invite permanent cancellation of ECHS membership and punitive actions.

You should keep the following documents ready for scanning and uploading in the online application form.

1.Discharge book

2.PPO Copy.

3.Death certificate Esm. (In case of Famiy pensioners)

4.Disability Medical Certificate.

5.Old Temporary Slip Copy.

6.Affidavit for Dependent members.

7.Birth Certificate/Matriculation certificates in case of dependent brother/sister.

8.Self attestation for children above 18 years.

9.Receipt of MRO 

10.Bankers Certificate.

11. Proper Photo of all the members.

Priority for issue of smart cards.

1.   Future Retirees.

2.   Temporary slip holders.

3.   16 kb card holders.

4.   32 kb card holders.

A REMINDER TO GIVE LIFE CERTIFICATE

JEEVAN PRAMAAN

All pensioners getting pension from Banks are to give Life Certificate in the month of November each year.  If you are not giving your Life Certificate your pension will be stopped.

You can visit your Bank personally with your PPO, Pass book and Aadhaar Card for giving life certificate.  After submitting Life Certificate please collect printed acknowledgement from the bank and keep it safe.

If you are unable to visit your Bank, or you are staying away from your home town, you can submit your Life Certificate from any of your Bank branches with the above documents.

You can also give your Life Certificate from Common Service Centre (CSC) located near to you.

You will be asked to identify with your finger impression with Aadhaar, PPO No. and SB Account No. and Bank.  You have to pay small charges for that.

You will be given a printed Jeevan Pramaan Life certificate with your Aadhaar Photo with a Jeevan pramaan ID.  Simultaneously this certificate will be made available to your bank.

With help of the Jeevan Pramaan ID, you can take print out of your Life Certificate from any where and hand over to your bank.

YOUR AADHAAR CARD, PPO NO. AND BANK PASS BOOK IS A MUST FOR
