110^TH ANNIVERSARY OF

THAYAMMAI AMMAL MIDDLE SCHOOL,

TIRUNELVELI TOWN.

The 110^th Anniversary of “Thayammai Ammal Middle School” was celebrated on 19.04.2018.

A simple function was presided over by Smt.A.AlaguLakshmi M.A., M.Ed. of SSI.

Shri M.Ganesh Kumar (Ex. Hav) the Secretary of the School welcomed the gathering.

Exwel Trust was invited as a Special Guest.

The school was started for the empowerment of women in the year 1918 by Smt.Thayammai.

This is school is famous for mathematics.

The dedicated teachers work hard to compete with the modern English medium schools here.

Most of the students are from poor families, the Exwel Trust selected this school to help the students for their education.

The Trust donates every year Rs.5000 for the development of the school.  We have also donated a Tricycle to a differently able child and also helped one child for eye treatment.

This year the function was very simple.

Our Managing Trustee Sgt.R.Chellappa (Retd.) assured all support to the school.

Seeing the children sitting on the floor, the Exwel Trust promised to donate 25 plastic chairs to the school.

We are proud that a Ex-servicemman is running this school efficiently.
