The government of India is making linking of Aadhar Card mandatory for all kinds of services like bank accounts, Pancards, ECHS cards, Mobile phones , passports , gas connections , ration cards, Insurance Policies, Post Offices accounts, pension accounts, Railway reservation, for Govt. Scholarships etc. etc.

The Government is silent about linking Voter ID with Aadhaar Card.  The Electronic Voting Machine should be modified to identify the voter with the Aadhaar Number and allow him/her to vote in the machine.  This system will eliminate bogus voters.  This will also eliminate revision of frequent voter list by the election commission.  Above all This will eliminate bogus voters and voting.

One of the major claims of the government has been that the duplicate gas holders and fraudulent claims of various  subsidies have been eliminated. 

When citizens raise issues of safety of their personal data the government claims that the data is safe despite numerous instances where data leaks even by government agencies has been reported. What is the guarantee that the private Mobile service providers do not misuse our biometric data. 

If the aadhaar data is so safe and the government is sure of its safety it would only be prudent that the next step should be to link Voter id cards to the aadhar or even better make aadhar the voter id.

We the citizens of the country request you to link Aadhar to the voters if card so that bogus  voters who are a threat to the democracy are eliminated.  If you agree for this suggestion, please sign this petition addressed to the Prime Minister.  Here is the link given.
