ABOUT PENURY GRANT
FOR NON PENSIONER ESM AND WIDOWS
The Penury grant is provided @ of Rs.4000 per month
for 12 months in advance. This grant is
applicable from 01.04.2017 for life time from AFFD Fund. This advance payment is a great help to the poor non-pensioners at the old age. This benefit is not known to many.
All non-pensioner Ex-servicemen and their widows above
the age of 65 are eligible. Once they
are granted, they have to submit Life Certificate to the Zilla Sainik Board in
the month of December every year for renewed payment of the grant.
If the applicant is already in receipt of any
assistance from State government, which is less than Rs.4000, they can opt to
stop that grant and apply for this grant.
In case the Penury grant is rejected by KSB for any reasons, they can
restore the State govt. grant subsequently.
This information is to be explained to the applicant
clearly before forwarding the Penury application.
All those who have applied for Penury grant may submit
their Life Certificate to the ZSB in the month of December in the given

All those who have received Rs.48000 as penury grant,
should spend the amount carefully till the next year grant is received.
