Where to find whether tds deducted or not from pension
Sir,
I am drawing pension from DPDO, Kottayam. They have deducted 20,000/- as income tax from DL-33 arrears. But the amount is not yet deposited with income tax as per the website of income tax. I have submitted PAN number to the DPDO. what i should do to get the tax deposited.
I am an Ex SGT having served 21 yrs.I stay at Bangalore. In Kerala Ex service men are totally exempted from paying house tax, where as in Bangalore I have to pay 50% 0f the tax.Why this is not made unique for all Ex service men.Why should I pay tax for my pension.Apart from the income tax returns, every place I have to pay various taxes. Can't the Gov exempt the Ex service men from paying the tax to show gratitude and attract young generation to join Armed Forces.

Details regarding arrears are not provided to us whether it be orop or 7th pay commission it should be known to the pensioner as to what is the due amount he would recieve in what number of installments and the total duration
Why not some organisation to take up the issue of pension to be exempted from IT?
