YERARS SERVICE FOR FULL PENSION
(Benefits
available to ex-servicemen re-employed in Central Govt. Departments.)
(Revised pension
benefits from 1.1.2006 to all the ex-servicemen and their families)
All the ex-servicemen re-employed in Central Government
departments like, Railways, Income Tax, Central Excise, Customs, Postal,
Telecom, All India Radio, Door Darshan, CRPF, BSF, etc., etc., are retiring
before completing 33 years service.
Therefore all were paid Pro rata pension (Reduced pension) before
1.1.2006.
In this context, a petition filed by Shri M.O.Inasu,
seeking full pension even if the qualifying service is less than 33 years was
allowed by Hon’ble CAT/High Court
resulting in issue of OM No.38/37/08-P&PW(AA) GOI, Ministry of Personnel
and Public Grievances, Department of Pensioners Pension and Pensioners’ welfare
OM dated 6.4.2016 for full pension w.e.f. 1.1.2006 even if the qualifying
service is less than 33 years.
Accordingly all the ex-servicemen re-employed and retired
from Central Govt. Departments are eligible for full pension and arrears w.e.f.
1.1.2006. Generally most of the
ex-servicemen are re-employed in Group IV posts. Therefore they are not aware of these
benefits.
The purpose of this article is to get the benefits to
these poor Group IV re-employed ex-servicemen and their families in various
central government departments before 1.1.2006.

will be there in their pension w.e.f. 1.1.2006 and the arrears payable to them
