.AFT DEFINES MINIMUM PAY FOR MAJOR & EQUIVALENT RANKS


The minimum pay defined by AFT in respect of the petitioners of the Rank of Lt.Cdr and Sqn.Ldr is equally applicable to all ranks from Lt. to Lt.Gen.  The basis for computation of pension will be notional pay in accordance with the fitment tables for all.(i.e. Scale of pay as per Vth CPC  x 1.86 + GP + MSP/2)

Fortunately, it is likely that the benefit  may also be applicable to the Honorary Lieutenants and Honary Captains and equivalent ranks in Navy and Air Force.

Accordingly, these Hony. Lts. and Hony. Capts. & equivalents should get the following
revised pension.

Hon.Capt.        13,850                         16,140                         23,405.

Hon. Lts. and Hon. Captns.  normally retire after a minimum of 24 year service.  The benefits applicable on the basis of the AFT Judgement may be extended to these honorary officers also.  It is justifiable.
