CANARA BANK AND DEFENCE PENSIONERS
The Canara Bank utilized the services of its retired officer Sgt.S.Kandiah in a big way and settled the grievances of many pensioners who are living in remote villages and drawing pension from rural branches.
For the information of the readers, I am giving the names of the Canara Bank branches, where Sgt.S.Kandiah visited. First of all the Exwel Trust thanks the Canara Bank management for giving access to a retired officer to attend the pensioner’s grievances in more than 24 branches in Tirunelveli region. We are very much thankful to the concerned branch managers for having given excellent co-operation to Sgt.S.Kandiah and the pensioners.

All the defence pensioners who are drawing pension from the above branches are satisfied that they are being paid correct pension.
A single man visited all these branches alone and made this possible. Can any body name any such person doing such service to the ex-servicemen any where in the Country ? If so please send us his name and address with photo for publishing in this Blog. If we cannot do, at least we can appreciate and encourage them.
At this moment, the Exwel trust is proud to mention that it is the excellent recognition the Canara Bank management had given to its retired officer Sgt.S.Kandiah. But for the support by the Canara Bank management, this task would not have been achieved.
But why the other Banks like the SBI, IOB, Indian Bank are not utilizing the services of its retired ex-servicemen bank employees?
Sgt.S.Kandiah had visited many other Bank branches also. Except the State Bank of
The SBI being the largest bank and having large number of pensioners with them, still not co-operating with the voluntary services of the Exwel Trust. For every problem of the pensioners the SBI branches simply tell the pensioners to go the CPPC, Chennai and close the chapter.
The grievances of the defence pensioners are mounting in SBI Branches. It is high time the SBI look into it immediately.

The efforts made by EXWEL to help the needy ex-servicemen through the Canara bank as well as other cooperating banks are most appreciated.
However ,from my personal experience of dealing with SBI through dgm.customer@sbi.co.in has yielded the desired result of positive & prompt response to any pension issue referred to him with a copy to concerned CPPC Pension.
I would therefore suggest to send an email to him drawing his attention to all matters pending with SBI.
We must repeatedly compliment the role of EXWEL volunteers in helping our veteran brothers & their families.

difficulties of our brothers and sisters and the attitude of the Banks, I totally got involved and learnt in and out of our Pension problems. I sat on internet as and when possible in a day and sat till late midnights to go through all the web sights including yours in updating myself and down loading all the releavant orders and served people regularly visiting my residence from the the early morning till i leave for my duty and in the evenings on return from my duty. Not only related to the pension but also for ECHS, Prime minister's Scholarship, Individual family problems, career oriented problems and many other are being handled by me as as an individual. Apart from this I am also serving as the President of the ESM League, Karaikudi, Secretary of the ESM League Trust, Karaikudi, Dy.Gen Secretary of the FIESA, TN and the Member of the IESM. India.
The banks and their various branches across the surrounding districts have buildup confidence in me to send their pensioners in person and the problems through couriers and email to get the solutions from me. If a cal sheet is sent by me it is honoured. Apart from our ESM family I am also doing my best in the Social activities with a Social Service Centre of my own by name 'BEACON'serving to promote the remote areas in education and culture. I am also heading a Social institute by name AARMS at Karaikuudi dedicated to uplift the socially economically ruined and drowning brothers and sisters of the society.
All this could be made possible out of my own earnings only because of the blessings of my beloved parents and the lord almighty.
I am sure that there may be many of Brotherens and some sisters who will be serving our society. Yet many may not like the publicity. Even now only because your question I happened to write this comments. Let's all join together in serving the real deserving society who out lived for the cause of the Country and its people who are sound on the service of those who buried them self making a platform for these and a wall of Savior with the young life of serving jawans.

I am sgt rtd Sethumadhavan N 74 yr old vetteren from ottapalam, Kerala helping defence pensioners and family pensioners for the last 14 yrs. Helped many to get their entitled pension. And still doing it. I find out pensioners from banks, echs and canteen and doing a free service.
