ARMY PENSION OF Rs.2,000 Crore Stuck.
NEW DELHI: A staggering Rs.2,000 crore, money meant for the enhanced pensions of nearly 14 lakh armed forces jawans, is lying unspent in the Ministry of Defence, two years after the ministry decided to enhance the pensions.
The banks involved say they do not have the means for the massive calculations required to distribute the money to the soldiers.
