The services  offered by the Ex-servicemen Helpline Centre at Chennai are commendable.  The GOC is kind enough to provide the following facilities to the visiting veterans to Chennai.  Specially it is very helpful to the veterans and their families for going to the ECHS Polyclinic and various empanelled hospitals in Chennai.

The following facilities are provided:-

1.       Ex-servicemen and their families are provided accommodation on concessional rates  at the ESM Helpline Centre.

2.       Transport facility is also available on payment basis.

3.       Pension grievances are attended promptly by OIC Esm. Help line Centre.

4.       A free legal aid cell is also functioning.

5.       Army placement node is providing ample employment opportunities to Esm. And their dependents.

Hon.Capt.M.David (Retd.) OIC ESM Helpline centre is very active in taking up the welfare activities under the guidance of Col.A. R.Sivanathan and GOC.  Ex-servicemen  Rallies were conducted on regular basis at the following places in the past.  Tirunelveli, Salem, Madurai, Nagercoil and Theni.

It is proposed to conduct ex-servicemen rallies at the following places in the year 2011.

                Nagapattinam   on           15.05.2011.

                Puducherry        on           04.09.2011.

                Erode                    on           06.11.2011.
