FULL PENSION FOR THE EX-SERVICEMEN RETIRED FROM CENTRAL GOVT. DEPARTMENTS W.E.F. 1.1.2006.

FULL PENSION FOR  THE EX-SERVICEMEN RETIRED FROM
CENTRAL GOVT. DEPARTMENTS W.E.F. 1.1.2006.

All ex-servicemen who were re-employed in Central Government Departments and retired before 1.1.2006 have been authorized for full pension w.e.f. 1.1.2006 as per Govt. of India, Ministry of Personnel, PG & Pensions Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare Office Memorandum No.38/37/08-P&PW(A) dated 06th April, 2016.

The amount of full pension payable to the pensioners is indicated in the even number OM dated 28.1.2013.  It may please noted that earlier, the benefit of this order was denied to the ex-servicemen due to the restrictive clause included in Para 5 of the Office Memorandum dated 28.1.2016 viz. “The pension so arrived at in accordance with para 2 above and indicated in Col.9 of Annexure will be reduced pro-rata, where the pensioner had less than the maximum required service for full pension.”

Now the restriction under para 5 have been removed by OM dated 6.4.2016.   Therefore all the ex-servicemen are eligible for revised pension and arrears from 1.1.2006.  The families are also eligible for LTA.

Unfortunately the pension paying banks have totally neglected this government orders.  It appears that none of the ex-servicemen have been paid arrears on account of these orders.

The purpose of this article is to create awareness among the ex-servicemen on the subject and claim arrears to their Banks.
