HELP THE BANKS TO GET YOUR CORRECT PENSION

HELP THE BANKS TO GET YOUR CORRECT PENSION

Defence pension is a dry subject.  All the pension paying banks are finding it very difficult to cope up with the mounting pressure from the defence pensioners.  The main reason for mounting complaints against banks on defence pension payments is due to lack of awareness on the part of defence pensioners and family pensioners.
Most of the defence pensioners, just accept whatever the banks pays.  The never verify the correctness of their pension payment on monthly basis, because they believe that the banks will never make any mistake, they will always pay correct pension.  Banks on the other hand takes it for granted, since there is no complaint from the pensioner their payment is correct.

Now, due to the repeated announcement in various pensioners meetings about the entitlement of each class of pensioners, things are coming out.  Therefore the importance of individual awareness is very important.

Every defence pensioner must keep certain important particulars such as Rank, qualifying service, Group, date of discharge, date of birth, percentage of disability etc., etc., in memory to get their correct pension.

It is due to the non-availability of these particulars in the data base of the banks, most of the pensioners are not getting their correct pension.

Once these particulars are updated in the data bases of the banks, with the help of the pensioners, the problems will be solved forever.  Almost all the banks are centralizing the process of pension payments.  It is expected that a smooth transition will take place in a few months.  Let us all co-operate to the banks by feeding correct particulars about each and every pensioner.

  1. Very useful message to the pensioners. The bank also should accept the feed back from pensioners in good spirit to update the database. Then only the correct pension rate of pension can be arrived at. This message will definitely will prompt the pensioners to think and help the banks.

  2. Sir,
The co-operation expected from the pensioner
as you feel, this is not the true case. Pension is nothing, but the
salary as the I T dept calls it.Is the Bank staff unaware of the
salary particulars. Is any of their documents missing from PRS Dept?.
But the Pension order, endorsement of family pension sent by the PDA
not filed in the respective Pensioners file, in the sequence the
family suffers AND THE WHOLE FILE IS MISSING.
Sir, Still 6 C P C family pensioners are not paid arrears, as we know
only in the particular area only.If we happen to extent the hand and
check the pension still there will be lot of pensioner receiving less
than the eligible amount.C P P C does not bother to reply even to
their Head Office including Bombay .In this aspect I would like bring
to your notice a family pensioner not paid pension from November,
2009 .Till yesterday the family not submitted Life Certificate .Today
C P P C says never paid family pension to the family. The branch says
    first P P O missing or whole document reached to the C P P C.We can
    narrate 1000 of incidents .Particularly S B I opened C P P C and the
branch not responsible for any pension problem. The query will be
attended by the Chennai. Tomorrow they may shift to ANTARTICA FOR
THEIR OPERATIONAL PURPOSE AS NO PENSIONER WILL BE ABLE TO REACH THE
    PLACE.
SIR, THE D C R G AND COMMUTABLE VALUE NOT PAID FOR MORE THAN 10
MONTHS, AS THE SAME PENSIONER TAKEN LOAN FROM SAME BARNCH.
THIS WILL HAPPEN VERY SHORTLY AS THE DEFENCE PENSIONER GRIEVANCES CELL
    OPENED AT DELHI.
However, as true soldier we will fight till last .
ALL THE BANK SAYS STAFF SHORTAGE. MY MEMORY IS NOT YET FADED YET.THE
EXPERIENCED BANK STAFF SENT IN V R S WITH 10 TO 12 YEARS OF SALARY BY
THE MANAGEMENT. NOW THE SAME MANAGEMENT SAYS SHORTAGE. THIS MEAN,
VISION OF THE FUTURE NO ONE BOTHERS AND THEY ALSO FUNCTION LIKE FRONT
    LINE STAFF IN THE BRANCH.
IF I WRITE IT WILL NEVER END, ANYHOW I AM FINISHING WITH THIS
ONE.BEFORE FINISHING (1) WILL THE BANK ACCEPT THE HELP EXTENDED BY
THIS ORGANISATION? (2).HAD IT TAKEN HALF OF OUR PROBLEMS WOULD HAVE
    SOLVED BY THIS TIME.
    WITH REGARDS,
    (EX SGT M ARUMUAGM)

  4. Hello All.
I found this blog just by chance when searching for information on ex-servicemen's benefits.

I have a question relating to family pension. My mother is 83+ and in poor health. She does not seem to know whether the amount she is currently collecting (widow's pension) is the latest revision or not. My question is, would the State Bank of India automatically re-calculate the revised pension rates as and when they are changed, or is there something she needs to do in order to get the latest revised rate, eg. application form, etc.?

If anyone can advise me on this I would be very grateful.

    Thanks and regards
