WILL SUVIGYA SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM?

WILL SUVIGYA SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM?

Yes.  It will help a lot if you do little home work. The pre-2006 defence pensioners need to feed very few details as given below:

Service
Air Force
Rank
Sgt
Group
I
Date of Birth
09.08.1946
Date of Retirement
30.06.1982
Qualifying Service.
18

Based on the above details, your pension entitlement is given as follows:-

Rank
Sgt
Group
I
Qualifying service
18
Pension as on Retirement
256
Revised pension from 01.01.2006 (6 CPC)
4887
Revised pension from 01.07.2009
6277

Now you watch for your revised pension from 01.01.2006 (6th CPC) and Revised pension from 01.07.2009.  If your present pension paid by the Bank with DA + FMA is tallying with the figure of pension for 01.07.2009, then you need not worry.  If there is a difference, then you have to do some home work as follows:-

After adding the present DA and eligible medical allowance with the Suvigya figure, if you find the Bank is paying less, then you proceed as follows:-

Click the link for the Excel work sheet, you will find a work sheet in Google Documents.  Fill up the revised pension figure as on 01.07.2009 on the corresponding Cell, you will find the total pension payable from 01.07.2009 to July 2011 at the Bottom.

Simultaneously copy down the total pension paid by the bank (taken from your pass book) from 01.07.2009 to July 2011 at the next Cell.  The difference between the total of Pension payable and paid will be the arrears payable to you.  With little bit of thinking and with help of your computer literate children at your home, you can calculate your pension arrears very easily, in this way.  If you want the pension difference to be worked out from 01.01.2006 please make use of the following excel work sheet link.

In the work sheet I have given an example of a Group I Sgt. Of Air Force.

Try and let us know, how far it is useful.  There are more than 2 million defence pensioners.  India is one of the leading IT enabled country.  It is a pity that no one has attempted to provide an on line solution for the defence pensioners.  (The CGDA had done something, and left half way without providing a final solution for the pensioners with the banks.)  The bank is silent about the Suvigya software.
