SUVIGYA SOFTWARE FOR DEFENCE PENSIONERS
WILL THE BANKS ACCEPT THE PRINT OUT ?

The Suvigya Software developed by the Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi will be very useful to the Pension Disbursing Agencies (Banks).  It is not understood why this software is not given to the PDAs so far.

At present the main problem of the PDA is to arrive at the correct rate of revised pension to a Defence Pensioner w.e.f. 01.01.2006 and w.e.f. 01.07.2009.  Once this is achieved with the help of this software, there will not be any problem for the banks to revise the pension and pay the arrears correctly.

Whatever may be the Government’s policy on the issue and distribution of this software to the Banks, but the banks may be instructed to accept the print out after verifying the details furnished by the pensioner to implement the correct revised pension as per the print out.  Since the software is developed by the CGDA, the banks should not raise any doubt except for the details of the pensioner fed into the system, which can be verified by the banks and accepted.

The acceptance of this software by banks, will be of great help to the pensioners and the banks.  Will the authorities take necessary steps to introduce this software in banks ?

    Respected sir,


    I the undermentioned individual getting pension from Army. My service details is stated below as reference. I was enrolled in the Army Medical Corps on 17 Nov 1988 and retired on 31 Mar 2006(AN). I was retired on the rank of Havildar/SKT(More than 10 years of service in the same rank). Now I felt that my pension is low as compare with others. Therefore, it is my request and plea that my case may kindly be studied and proper guidance be given and which will be a big booster for me and my family.
