WHAT IS A RESERVIST PENSION ?
Other Ranks of the Armed Forces, depending upon their terms of engagement, serve for specified number of years in “Reserve”. The service rendered while in active service in the Armed Forces is called “Colour” service and that in reserve is called “Reserve” service. While minimum “Colour” service necessary to earn a service pension is 15 years, there are individual who retire after completing 15 years of combined colour and reserve service, the latter category of other ranks are granted “Reservist Pension” in terms of Regulation 155 of Pension Regulations for the Army 1961 (Part-1).
The present rate of Reservist pension w.e.f. 1.1.2006 is Rs.3,500 (GOI MOD letter No.17(4)/2008(1)/D(Pen)/Policy) dated 11.11.2008.
Note: Dearness Relief as notified by Government from time time is also paid in addition.
ரிசர்விஸ்ட் பென்சன் என்றல் என்ன ?
மற்ற படை வீரர்கள் (Other Ranks) தங்களுடைய ஒப்பந்தகளின் அடிப்படையில் குறிப்பிட்ட ஆண்டுகள் "ரிசர்வ்" பகுதியில் வைக்கபடுவார்கள். தொடர்ந்து முழுமையாக ராணுவத்தில் பணியில் இருப்பது "கலர்" சர்விஸ் எனப்படும். பென்சன் தகுதிபெற குறைந்த கலர் சர்விஸ் 15 ஆண்டுகள் என இருந்தபோதிலும், ஒருசிலர் கலர் மற்றும் ரிசர்வ் சர்விஸ் சேர்த்து 15 ஆண்டுகள் முடித்து வெளி வந்தனர். இவர்களுக்கு மட்டும் "ரிசர்விஸ்ட்" பென்சன் வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
தற்போதைய ரிசர்விஸ்ட் பென்சன் Rs.3,500 w.e.f. 1.1.2006. இதற்க்கு அகவிலை படியும் உண்டு.

There are many who have completed 15 yrs of service in spells and they were asked toreturn lumpsum gratuity and awarded service pension then but after seventh CPC their pension was not revised sying that they are reservist pensioner, kindly clarify.
